To better understand the problem space, I set out to write a clone. Using the builder-pattern, I was quickly able to match the core Dapper API .Query() (in my opinion) a tighter code base. I understand that Dapper has grown organically over the years to solve a thousand edge cases that I don't even know about. What is the database the query is running against? I know for SQL Server we have table fields with spaces, but the field names are enclosed in brackets, like this [Column One] and we have no problems. In other databases, you can enclose the field name in quotations and handle spaces.
